Come Pray the Stations of the Cross for Lent at Our Lady of Refuge in Brooklyn
| Stations of the Cross at Our Lady of Refuge are at 7:30 p.m. each Friday of Lent. Many people join in as a way of preparing for Easter and the resurrection.
Our Lady of Refuge is a Catholic Church in Midwood BrooklynIn the Middle Ages, after the crusades, people would go to the Holy Land and walk the path that Jesus walked as he carried the cross to calvary. But not everyone could make the trip so stations of the cross in their parish church became a devotion that all could participate in, especially during Lent. 14 stops, each with prayers, help us to walk with the Saviour, to bear his cross with him and hopefully, one day, wear the crown with him too.
