-A reminder that all Parishioners are invited on Friday, September 30th- Sunday, October 2nd Our Lady of Refuge Parish will be hosting a retreat at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception Huntington, New York. The cost of the trip will be $300 for a single room and for doubles $250 per occupant. The payment deadline is next week Monday, August 15, 2022. A payment plan is available. - Due to ongoing repairs in the chapel, the weekday masses will be held in the church at 9am, Monday---Saturday. Members are asked to please use the Foster Entrance. Signs will be posted for guidance.

-On Labor Day, Monday September 5th at 9:00am, let’s give witness to the power of our Roman Catholic Christian Faith! Join the diocese of Brooklyn at the Labor Day Mass and Procession. The Bishop will celebrate at St. Matthews Church, 1123 Eastern Parkway, between Utica and Schenectady Avenues, immediately followed by a procession along Eastern Parkway.
- More than ever, we need your help to spread the light of Christ to our city and neighbors by
giving to the Annual Catholic Appeal. A reminder to those who took pledge cards home, please
mail them to 243 Prospect Park West Brooklyn, NY 11215.For those of you who were unable to
make a pledge during last week’s in-pew, you can find pledge cards in the back of the church. If
you prefer, you can text DONATE to 917-336-1255 or visit annualcatholicappeal.org. Your
participation in the 2022 Annual Catholic Appeal will maintain vital programs and ministries
that answer the call of our Lord Jesus to care for one another.
-Come join us in celebration of the Feast of the Assumption on Monday, August 15th at 7:30pm. The mass will be Trilingual and live streamed.
7.Our parish would like to host a day trip to Six-Flags Great Adventure. The cost of the trip will be $95, and will POTENTIALLY take place on Thursday, August 25. However, we understand the busy life of the work week. To confirm the total amount of participants, parishioners may put their names on the sign-up sheet that can be found at the back of the church. This trip is NOT a guarantee.
-The Haitian Charismatic group will resume meeting in the Judy Agard room starting on Thursday, August 11.

Our Lady of Refuge Church is a Roman Catholic Parish that has been serving the people of the Midwood Section of Brooklyn since 1911. Originally founded by Irish and German Catholics it now serves some 30 nationalities and three language groups — English, Spanish and Creole.
Mass is said several times per day at Our Lady of Refuge. For Mass times on Holy Days of Obligation or on National Holidays please visit the news section of this website. Our Lady of Refuge serves the social needs of all, regardless of a person's religious affiliation. The parish offers many services to the community including a food pantry that provides for 300 households each week.
