Video: Todd Wilson accompanying the 1925 Phantom of the Opera at Our Lady of Refuge in Brooklyn, NY
On October 17, 2014 Organist Todd Wilson accompanied the 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera staring Lon Chaney. The film opened with a Fantasy on Themes from Bizet's "Carmen" arranged by Edwin H. Lemare, Meditation from "Thais" by Massenet.
This recital was extremely well attended with people coming from all over Brooklyn. Mr. Wilson was cheered by the audience after playing non-stop for over 2 hours.
Todd Wilson serves as Head of the Organ Department at The Cleveland Institute of Music, and Director of Music and Worship at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, he is Curator of the Skinner Organ at Severance Hall (home of The Cleveland Orchestra), and House Organist for the newly restored Aeolian organ at the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron, Ohio.
